I’m Angelina Kontini, born and raised on the beautiful island of Corfu in Greece. I’m a certified RYT-500 yoga instructor with over 15 years of experience in teaching yoga and more than a decade of experience as a ballet instructor.
My teaching combines elements from multiple traditions, primarily classical hatha yoga, with influences from the Satyananda and Sivananda schools, restorative and vinyasa-based practices, as well as breathing, chanting, and guided deep relaxation techniques. While my classes are centered on physical asana practice, they often include accessible elements of higher yogic techniques.
Thanks to my background in classical ballet, I bring a strong understanding of body alignment and physical structure. This allows me to help students identify and work through physical imbalances with precision, using yoga’s tools to gradually support vitality and balance through conscious movement and breath.

Over the years, I’ve taught yoga in a variety of environments, from studios and cultural centers to outdoor locations and small group settings, always adapting to the needs of the people in front of me. My approach is down-to-earth and respectful of tradition, with a focus on practical application and long-term benefit.
Beyond yoga, I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for several years and have professional experience in the fields of classical dance and chess arbiting. While yoga remains a central part of my life and personal practice, I value the balance of multiple disciplines and real-world engagement.
I believe yoga should be taught with clarity, sincerity, and a deep respect for its roots.
